What About The Pet Owner?
Excerpt from Chapter 45 page 244
What about you, the loving pet owner? What do you do for you own health? I know many pet owners who look after their pets better than they look after themselves!
Many of the situations, diseases and syndromes discussed in this pet book are also problems for the pet owner.
Let me ask you a few questions to get you started thinking about your own health.
1. Do you feed yourself regular, nutritious meals?
2. Do you exercise yourself regularly?
3. Do your bowels move regularly and adequately?
4. Do you have lots of clean water available? I should really being asking, “Are you drinking lots of clean water every day?”
5. Do you suffer from arthritis?
6. Do you suffer from any skin ailments?
Your answers may indicate that you may need to make some lifestyle adjustments or improvements.
You must apply the same principals of good health to you, your family as well as your pets.
I have previously stated many times, that your pets must eat a diet that is appropriate for their species. So must you, the pet owner. The diet that many humans consume is not really appropriate for humans. So much of our food consist more of man-made chemicals than real food. There are over 70,000 known food additives approved by the FDA. This list includes artificial ingredients and genetically modified foods. Some artificial ingredients have names that include numbers. Sound very appetizing?
We may have food on hand that we know is weeks old but:
-the bread doesn’t get stale; -fruit doesn’t spoil;
-meat still looks pink.
When this happens, you are eating chemicals. Your body does not assimilate the necessary vitamins, minerals, proteins, essential fatty acids, from chemicals. You need real food to have real health. Food that will:
-become stale; -spoil; -turn colours.
Just make sure you eat before it becomes stale, spoils or turns colour!
Now that you understand that you need to be healthy to look after your furry family, where do you start?
Please see my book for more information.
